Our first stop in Martinique was at the Petite Anse d'Arlet. Them we anchored in L'Anse à Mitan, right across from Fort-de France. |
We rented a car and one day toured the island with Francine and John. Here we are hicking Mont Pelé. |

| The next day we visited some other parts of the island with Espen and Ulrika. |
In l'Anse à Mitan we saw the Bizots in their new boat: Motu Nui, we had wintered next to them in Cannes, four years earlier. |
We say good bye to Espen and Ulrika aboard their Beneteau "Kwa Eri", as we leave l'Anse à Mitan. They had decided that the Carribean was not for them and would return to Sweden via the Pacific. |
Achored at St Pierre with a rare view of Mont Pelé, usually hidden by clouds. |

From Mona Island we headed for La Ramona on the South-east tip of the Dominican Republic. |
 |
 |
| Our stay in La Ramona was not too pleasant with the police requesting bribes!! Our next stop was in the lagoon at Boca Chica. We went to the dinghy dock of a marina that was owned by a Canadian: Gilles Dubuc. |
After Francis helped him with his laptop, he invited to tie up for free at the marina. We decided not to stop in Haiti and from Boca Chica we headed straight for Jamaica. |
