We entered Cuba at Cayo Largo, the sea had been too rough to stop in the Cayman Brac. We were allowed to stop in Cuba, but the treasury did not allow us to spend dollars. It was easy to abide by the rule, nothing could be bought in Cayo Largo!! On Cayo Largo there was a tourist resort for foreigners.

A beautiful anchorage on the South Coast of Isla de la Juventad. Many migrating birds landed on E. Galois as we sailed the South Coast of Cuba. This one looked very tired. He was too tired to fly any more. We hoped that we could land him, but he died before we anchored The anchorage off Maria La Gorda, a tourist resort for scuba divers.
