From Cuba we sailed directly to Fort Myers, Florida, where our engine problem started. After 10 days the engine restarted, but it would only last to Huntsville, Alabama.

$2000 lighter, for engine repairs, a few days later we headed up for Mobile. En route we caught a nice Dorado. |

The engine finaly conked out when we arrived at Ditto Landing in Huntsville on June 21. Martine came and took this picture. We left E. Galois at the Marina rented a car and drove to Oak Ridge. Francis would come back with friends with a John Boat and a 20 HP out board engine to "tow" E. Galois to Blue Springs Marina on Watts Bar Lake. The engine was removed, taken to New York where it was exchanged for a reconditionned engine!! |
